This week's all-school Mass is scheduled for Wednesday with Bishop Rice presiding. School is dismissed at noon for the beginning of the Fall Break. Schools resumes Monday, Nov. 4.
Students have the letter and schedule for the conference times that take place next Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Please look at the time scheduled your conference. If there is a conflict please email me as soon as possible.
Please read, sign and return the letter from Fr. Lewis regarding the 7th grade student Mass on October 27.
Assignments
Religion Students participated in the celebration of the Eucharist. Social Studies Students continued lesson 1 of Module 4 through page 109 and added notes to the first chart. Language Arts Students started ASAD week 9 and added the return address heading to the Pen pal letter, which is due, typed, by Wednesday. They used class time to type the story for WORD. For homework they are to completely type and edit/revise the story for WORD, due Wednesday. In grammar they completed Ex.1 of lesson 7.6 in class and are to complete Ex. 2 for homework. They are to continue reading Holes through chapter 41 and add to their story map. 8th grade Social Studies Students continued lesson 3 of Module 4. The test is scheduled for Thursday. For NHD they have an assignment to contact a librarian for a visit and consultation that is due Oct. 23. They have 2 more source sheets due Thursday, Oct. 17th. They should be reading and taking notes on the sources they have and continued gathering sources. 6th grade Social Studies Students continued lesson 4 of Module 8. The test is scheduled for this Thursday. Tonight, they are to answer all questions in the Reading Guide for lesson 4, Mod. 8 The seventh grade students have been asked to lead the St. Agnes congregation in the celebration of the Eucharist on Oct. 27 at the 8:30 AM Mass. They have a letter for the parents to read and sign and it should be returned to school by October 16th.
The Middle School students will be taking the ITBS tests next week. Even though it is important that your students get plenty of sleep, 8-9 hours a night, it is even more important that they are rested for school when they are testing. They should have a nutritious breakfast every day and they may bring a nutritious snack.
The seventh grade class will be leading the congregation in the celebration of the Eucharist this Friday. Please join us if you can.
